5 Data Protection

“Privacy is not an option and it shouldn't be the price we accept for just getting on the Internet.”

Gary Kovacs

The General Data Protection Regulation seeks to protect personal data and the way in which organizations collect, process, store and destroy it, when that data is no longer required. The law provides control over how companies can use information that is directly and personally related to individuals.

The right to be forgotten is one of the rights established by the GDPR and consists in requiring the person responsible for the treatment to effectively suppress or eliminate the personal data of the requesting individual.

GDPR represents an opportunity for organizations to understand the risks associated with sensitive data and to establish privacy-based design principles in their operations.

We are here to assist you in all aspects of remediation and the GDPR compliance readiness process, from identifying confidential data, properly handling sensitive data and simplifying the understanding of privacy within your organization and extending the awareness of legislative changes.
